MINISTRIES

Nursery Ministry

"Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward." ~ Psalm 127:3

Nursery is provided for ages 0 to 3, which is split between infants and those that are mobile. During our Sunday School hour, for the older ones in nursery, we have a class for them so that they understand church is a time to learn about God from his word in a clean, fun, and safe environment. Our nursery volunteers and children’s ministry workers all undergo a thorough screening process, and they undergo CPR/First Aid Certification.

Children's Ministries

"Suffer little children, and forbid them not to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." ~ Matt 19:14

Here at NHBC, we believe that providing children with the opportunity to learn the Bible on their level, and to enjoy fellowship with kids their age is critical in order to ensure that each child grows to be a part of Christian service in the next generation. Each Sunday @ 10 am, from the Nursery to K4/5 - 6th grade, our kids gather with a teacher that has a lesson and curriculum that is Bible based and is focused on Scripture memory, thorough understanding of Bible stories, and how to apply them to their lives. We love our Sunday School Teachers and our Kids!

Each Wednesday night @ 7 pm, during the adult Bible study hour, our children (grades K-5 - 6th grade) will meet downstairs for DISCIPLES BIBLE CLUB, for a fun time of singing, games, puppets/skits, and Bible memorization and teaching. We invite you and your children to join us!

Students & Youth

"Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers."  ~ 1 Tim 4:12

New Heights’ Youth Ministry is designed to help middle school and high school students grow in their faith, their character, and their relationships. It’s about creating an atmosphere that is Christ-focused where they can belong and find their identity in Christ. We encourage our youth to be involved in everything we do from inviting others, being a witness in our community, participating in activities, and serving.

College & Career

"And there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." ~ Prov 18:24

The NHBC college and career ministry is centered around God’s Word and fellowship in order to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. More people quit attending church and finding community in a local church between the ages of 18-25 than any other group. We want our young adults to know this is the BEST TIME to serve God and build relationships with His people!

Our College & Career group enjoys time studying the Bible and having small group accountability. They love having fun whether it’s trail hiking, rock climbing, or just having great fellowship together….they also enjoy eating lots of different kinds of food, and drinking copious amounts of coffee!

Public Evangelism & Outreach

A group of people are standing on the side of a road holding signs.
"Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." ~ Lk 14:23

Our church membership are encouraged as individuals, and as a church corporately, we are involved in publicly taking the Gospel to the streets and neighborhoods of our Aurora & Denver community.

If you have never been involved, this is a great way to learn how to share your faith! We believe in 20/20 vision as laid out by Paul the Apostle, in Acts 20:20 - And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house.

Ladies' Bible Studies

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." ~ Matt 18:20

Our LADIES' Bible Studies are taught monthly, as Pastor Adrian's wife, Miss Lacey, teaches through a series aimed at helping our ladies grow in fellowship not only with one another, but delving deeper in their walk with Christ!

Next Step Discipleship

"And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;" ~ 2 Pet 1:5

The most glorious thing in life is to know Christ as your Savior, but that is NOT where the Christian life ends, but rather where it begins.

Next Step Discipleship takes you over a course of 16 lessons designed to take you from the foundation to the deeps of the word of God, so that you know how to take your walk with God further and help others along the way. All this is done in the safe setting of a local church.

Overcomers United

“‭Nay‭, in‭ all‭ these things‭ we are ‭more‭ ‭than‭ ‭conquerors‭‭‭ through‭ him that loved‭‭ us‭.‭” ~ Romans 8:37

Addiction of all kinds, along with “mental health” issues, plague our communities and society. The solution is not in “self-help”, but “Christ-reliance”, because it is through Him that we can OVERCOME and we are “more than conquerors”.

If you know anyone that could benefit from this Biblically-based, weekly ministry (every Friday night), led by our deacon, Bro Shawn Bowie, please have them reach out to Pastor Adrian at pastor@nhbcaurora.com.

Spanish Ministry - Iglesia Bautista Nuevas Alturas

"Y les dijo: Id por todo el mundo y predicad el evangelio a toda criatura.."  ~ Marcos 16:15

We are thankful to be in a diverse community like that of the Denver metro area where nearly 30% of the population identifies as Latino.   While much of the Latin American world is coming to find the US as their home, we are blessed with the opportunity to present them with the hope of the Gospel, and to provide them with a church home where they can come to Christ, grow in the word, be discipled, and live out the Great Commission here as well.

For many years, Pastor Eddie Urey and his wife, Janet, have been ministering both abroad and here domestically, to the Spanish speaking world.   They continue this ministry here at NHBC.
